Domestic Goddess in Training

I had visions of me being this fantastic wife who could whip up some chocolate chip cookies on a whim. The sticky looking solid deflated mess you see here is me attempting to do just that!!!! Good thing I have a paying career to fall back on!!!

In my defense I did make a blackberry-apple crumble on Sunday night that could be entered into a contest, but the cookies, well, I'll definitely have to work on those!

HeeHee! It looks like they may have spread a bit, no? :) It's ok, finding perfecting the chocolate chip cookie is hard work :)

LOL! I know exactly what happened. I am a scatter brain and wasn't paying attention. The recipe was for four dozen and I didn't want that many so I thought I would half it. Apparently my math was way off and I think by the end I forgot I was halfing it and used the full amount of butter. It was like toffee! The pan was old (thank god for registries!) but I was actually able to clean it up - and the other pan - after a night of soaking. I thought they were too good not to share!

Ouch. I did that once when I made chocolate chip cookies and forgot to add the flour. They melted all over the bottom of the oven and it took hours to clean up!

Who needs to be a domestic goddess when the grocery store sells Pepperidge Farm? ;)

Ah the old double-butter chocolate chip cookies. I have made those more than once. They actually taste okay after you scrape them off the pan...
